Most of what is known as fundraising is actually, what I call, transactional fundraising. This is the traditional model of writing a case for support, identifying prospects, cultivating these prospects and making the ask. Transactional. Somewhat predictable. Limited. And, very often, referred to as ‘a slog.’
For me, fundraising has always been sacred, rewarding work. So this gloomy picture of our field never squared with my personal experience. This was a problem to be solved and it’s how exponential fundraising was born.
Exponential Fundraising aims to introduce everyone in the field – from fundraisers to executive directors to board members – to the concept of fundraising as joyful and transformational. They key to do this is to understand why people give and then set the conditions — like focusing on the act of fundraising, not the end result and overcoming the buyer/seller dynamic – that allow you to tap the unlimited power of flow.
After an immersive experience in Exponential Fundraising, you’ll find your perspective on fundraising shift to one of light and powerful productivity. And because Exponential Fundraising does not work in a traditional goal-setting framework, there’s no set limit to what you can achieve. In the end, it’s all up to you and the power of going Exponential.
